It’s football season at Yale! I couldn't wait because college football is something that I watch all the time. I already knew that this was going to be a very strange day. Let me tell you what happened. I got up, took a shower, got something to eat, grooming myself, and was ready to go into the game for tailgating at the stadium parking lot. I get there and my homeboy already set up his tent and some food. I'm about to get my grub on; then all of a sudden, Janice comes and tries to ruin my tailgate party. For those who don't know who Janice is, let me get you up to speed. Janice is my ex-friend with benefits so on occasion, I will have sex with her either during the freak offs or even at my house, but I dumped her three months ago because I walked into my bedroom in my house and I saw her having sex with my roommate from last year. And the most fucked up part was she never disclosed to me that she was having sex with my ex-roommate behind my back. Bye Felicia. So here comes Janice walking up towards me asking me what was I doing? Where I be sitting for the game? This was boyfriend/girlfriend talk but I had to remind Janice that I dumped her; why she interrogate me? Why was she asking me all these questions? She doesn’t need to know anything about me anymore. Janice and I got loud with each other to the point that we made a scene out there at the tailgate party. I told Janice this is the last time that you're going to see me because if I see you approaching me again, I'm about to get a restraining order on you. I honestly don’t want nothing to do with her. It's time for you to go as soon as you can. She finally got the point and went the opposite way so I didn’t have to see her again.
Everybody was crowding around, but a familiar face was right in front of me. I kept on bumping into her, just to spark up a conversation. I simply ask her can you move any faster? It was Teliah. She turned around and had a smirk on her face and rolled her eyes. She came back with a comeback ain't you supposed to be with your fuck buddy? I started laughing hysterically because I knew exactly what she meant. The last time we saw each other was the freak off; I told her I dumped her four months ago. What about Antonio? She said that he went back to Washington, D.C. with his baby mama that I didn't know of. But it was all right, we were just having a conversation before the game as if we were friends. I asked Teliah if she wouldn't mind if I sat next to her, she said be my guest and I will take that as a yes. Throughout the game, we're cheering for our team, calling the play-by-play analysis as if we were broadcasters in the booth, but we had a good time because we won the football game afterwards. I asked Teliah if she wanted to grab some lunch to celebrate for the win; she say yeah no problem. I know a place we can go to.
It’s lunch time mixed with happy hour; Teliah and I were extremely hungry. But we had a good time. Just carrying on, talking about life, talking about our careers, and talking about sports. After she had one drink, we ate some more food and got full. Teliah was really tired. I told her I'll drive her back to her place but she didn’t want that to happen. She had prefer to go to my place instead. I asked her again for clarification. She would prefer heading back to my place. So, that’s exactly what we did. As we arrived at my place, Teliah and I took off our shoes and relaxed on the couch.
