August 2013:Margaret and Robert Blair are a young married couple on a caravaning holiday in Cumbria,they pass through some very remote communities,one day they reached the remotest one of the lot-Spankingby-the village appears to be very quiet and deserted-until they enter the local pub-'the whipped woman'-its sign shows a redheaded woman with lash marks on her bare back and a man nearby holding a long whip-the sign makes Margaret uneasy!'its just a sign!'Robert reasures her,'not very 'pc' i admit!but i didn't expect people to be in such a place off the beaten track!'.the couple go into the pub-all male patrons were speaking among themselves until they see Margaret-the pub falls deathly silent!Margaret was dressed very provocatively!- skimpy denim hotpants show off her tanned legs and her shoulders and arms and cleavage exposed by her tight white bustier. the landlord of the pub comes round the other side of the bar and whispers something in Robert's ear 'Maggie,please wait outside'-Maggie nervously does as she is told-obviously she was inapropriately dressed!very conservative people around these parts! she would have to dress more 'modestly'-despite the scorching heat!but as soon as she steps outside the pub,a bag was thrown over her head!inside the pub the atmosphere changes rapidly!'welcome stranger!' the men all greet Robert 'free drinks for our honoured guest!'the landlord says,the bemused Robert accepts their hospitality!Margaret meanwhile is enjoying quite a different form of local hospitality!she finds herself in a slate quarry-she sees many bedraggled young women with hammers and chisels,men in security uniforms are standing nearby-they all have bullwhips!'no slacking!the squire needs to reach his quota by tomorrow!'one of them says-Margaret is given a hammer and chisel-'get to work slave!'she is told by one of the men-she stares open mouthed!'i said work!'the man uncurled his whip-a line of fire was then unleashed across Margaret's exposed back-she cried out in agony 'DO YOU WAN'T MORE?' Margaret shakes her head!'THEN GET TO WORK!'-poor Margeret obeys!'and take those stupid shoes off!'-refering to Margaret's white stilletos 'you'll break your neck in them working like that!and we need all the slaves we can get at the moment!'-Margaret then realised with horror she was now a slave!slavery?in England of 2013?[as recent events have shown however, this no longer seems quite so far fetched!] taking them off, she began work.Back in the pub a new visitor arrives-the local squire 'i think its time our honoured guest visited the castle-i have a business proposition for him!'Robert gets into the Squire's landrover and they both journey to a magnificent medieval castle!'my ancestral home!'the squire proudly says.inside the squire tells Robert all about Spankingby-feminism has never reached here!women are inferior to men!they do as their husbands and fathers tell them-or face the consequences!back in 1983 the local slate quarry was forced to close when all the fit young men sought work elsewhere-so the squire came up with a solution when he inherited the estate from his father in 2012-he would make all the unmarried young women in the village work here!but there was still not enough to do the work!so he proposed kidnapping fit and strong young women from outside the villages-many of them had passed through-rock climbers in particular were excellent strong workers!other girls were illegal immigrants.'your wife looks a good strong specimen!-i will pay you £50,000 a year to you over the next Five years for her indentured labour!'Robert was appalled 'my wife is not for sale!and i'm going to the police!''i think you will find i am the law here!'the squire chuckles 'in that case,i will inform the outside world about this discraceful enteprise!'-Robert makes for the door-but the squire pulls a gun and shoots him dead!'what a pity!'the Squire says 'still-it saves me a bit of money!i might even allow the women an extra 10 minites work break!'and laughs maniacally!back in the quarry,Margaret and the slave women are chipping away at the slate quarry-a 20 year old Woman-Abigail,blonde blue eyed-looks at her closely 'its the Raven woman!come to deliver us!'-Margaret learns that in 1670 a woman Called Margaret Craven was burnt as a witch in Spankingby by the squires ancestor-she was no witch!she merely wanted to improve the lot of the womenfolk!over the years,the oppressed women of Spankingby- the are all regularly spanked,and caned- and sometimes ever birched and whipped!,talked about a woman with raven black hair coming to the village to liberate the women-Margaret has raven black hair!when Margaret reveals her name to Abigail it spread like wildfire!'our day of deliverence has finally come!'one woman-who had been severely whipped the previous week-smashs her hammer into one of the guards faces-all the other slaves now quickly overwhelmed all the other guards'FREEDOM!' the woman cries to her sisters-all the women flee from the hated quarry-making for the safety of the surrouding mountains, leaving just Margaret alone in the quarry with the dead and dying men.she walks for miles until she comes to another village-it is called Thrashingby-'what are doing out woman?it's now curfew!all woman must stay in their houses after 6 O'clock!' says a police constable-she is taken to the police station.the next day she is taken-now in handcuffs and a prison uniform,to the local courthouse '30 lashes for possesion of feminist literature!' the judge says as the last unfortunate woman is taken down-she screams as she is led out of the courthouse to the whipping wood -all the young women in the village are forced to watch as a warning to obey their fathers and husbands.'next case!' the judge says-Margaret is brought in 'she calls herself Margaret Blair m'lud!but there is no record of her in the parish records!''a wandering vagrant then?' he is told of Margaret's bedragled appearance when she first arrived in the village-barefooted and covered in dirt from the quarry,the judge frowns 'that's even worse!we don't wan't her kind poluting the purity of our lovely village!take her down-100 lashes!then rub salt into her back and send her on her way!'Margaret is taken to the whipping wood-she notices dried blood on the ground below her as she was stripped of her prison uniform-exposing all of her gorgeous tanned and toned young body, then was tied to a tree-a large and powerful policeman then arrived with a bullwhip!he takes off his jacket and rolls up his shirtsleeves-then-CRACK!-he unleashes the full power onto Margaret's bare back!'AAAHHH!!!'-Margaret screams!CRACK!CRACK!CRACK!CRACK!CRACK!CRACK!CRACK!CRACK!CRACK!CRACK!-everything then went black!the next day,Margaret found herself naked in the middle of a field-the wood where she was whipped lay just a mile behind her,her back felt like it was on fire!she had no strength to move!a young female Rock climber found her'my god!what kind of animal did this to you?don't worry!your safe now!i know of a charming little village nearby!Paddlingby!the local Squire said i can get lots of good work experience in their local quarry with many other unemployed girls! so i jumped at the chance!'every young lady in society deserves a fair crack of the whip!'the squire told me!what a nice man!SECRETSPANKER
