Rimming, along with anything that could involve poop, is always going to be at least a little bit RACK. But all the resources I’ve found talk about all the risks in one big list, rather than separating out those that are only acquired (such as Hepatitis A) vs present in every body (such as E. Coli).

If I’m with a partner who has a negative test for everything infectious, what are the remaining risks? And are there mitigations?

Presumably, this would also apply to solo ATM play—is that a safe assumption, or is there something subtle going on there?

There is always some risk just of sheer bacteria and that interaction.

If you’re not actually seeking scat play involved. Be sure your partner goes to the bathroom before a session to empty all they can. Then enema or bulb flush the ass. Then shower up and clean. This typically is the best approach to as safe as you can make it for rimming or atm. From my experience doing anal with subs it is very seldom there is any remnants left once it’s been enema flushed out.
