Its a topic I have seen discussed many times, the merits or otherwise of solo BDSM are hotly debated. Some say it isn't possible to get any real intensity into a solo session, others, including myself would disagree.
I have witnessed many a good solo session via the web and the intensity achieved has been equal to face to face sessions I have participated in.

One of the major pros is that done right solo play offers a safe environment to experiment in, you don't need to worry about your play partner going rouge on you! Of course the key here is "done right", planing your safety when playing alone is the most critical aspect. But with that in hand you are able to test yourself and your limits before handing yourself over to someone face to face. Of course it could also be all you are able to do due to other life constraints.

So what are your thoughts and experiences? I would love to hear from folks who have played solo, both guided and fully alone. Any problems or issues that you faced and of course how satisfying it was for you as well.

And for anyone with lingering doubts about the intensity have look at this video; http://motherless.com/GB50CA1C/0A83D9A I think you'll agree she is kinda into it...

I feel it depends on the kink, but having said that most kinks that I am familiar with are suitable for solo play and equally satisfying for me, with an exception of maybe self-bondage where I have felt there is always this thought at the back of my mind that I am really not helpless and can free myself whenever I want as I generally chicken out from using escape mechanisms.
