Are you curious about how much pain you can tolerate? I hear many subs say they have a high threshold for pain but how do they know, is it just because they can handle stubbing their toe or have suffered some nasty injury in the past? Well here is a little experiment borrowed from the Mythbusters but also widely used in the medical research area as a standard pain test and all you need is some ice water. Now this is not just cold water but water that is about a 50/50 mix of water and ice so it sits pretty much precisely at 0 deg C. If possible use a large container like a bucket but anything large enough to immerse your whole hand will do. Now simply dunk your hand in there with a timer running and see how long you can stand it. Don't be too shocked if you can't take even 30 seconds and never go more than 3 minutes despite how tough you think you might be. Statistically girls do better than guys at this and there may be something physiologically different in the nerve pattern and blood flow in the hands of males and females.
Oh and one final point, this isn't a contest, it's just a good measure you can use to find out how you really do handle pain. And if you do decide to try it please DO NOT exceed 3 minutes, if you make it that far any longer wont prove anything and could harm you.

A online Master used that to test my pain level. He asked how long could I keep my cock and balls in ice water. My response 30 minutes. He instructed me to keep my cock and balls in ice water 20 minutes. While I held my cock and balls in ice water for 20 minutes we chatted. Then he left. I figured it was to test me to see if I would stay 30 minutes. I kept may cock and balls in ice water for 30 minutes.

As the days past, my cock and balls developed skin as if itburned/a bad sunburn. I peeled that away then a itch developed. I had to see the doctor for creams.

Does that prove my pain level

These type of anecdotal "tests" don't prove anything at all. The problem with the term ice water is that there are too many variables, water with some ice in it does not result in a consistent temperature.
To get true ice water as used in the cold pressor test you need a mix of around 50/50 ice and water and need to continually add ice as it melts. Using a thermometer you should see a typical temperature in this mix of 0 to 1 deg C, anything even slightly above this does not give the required result.

Please note, in clinical trials 30 seconds to 1 minute are typical, 3 minutes is the maximum allowed due to the risk of frostbite and inducing cardiovascular problems.
Anyone attempting to exceed 3 minutes to prove a point could easily lose fingers or whatever appendage they are using to test so DON'T DO IT.

So now it bunk

So doctor, the presentation you made in 2014, If you want to test your pain threshold... is bull! Since I went longer than 3 minutes the procedure for the test changes. How about this, present how "proper procedure" is done to begin with. Your problem is you didn't think anyone could go pas 3 minutes.

He explained exactly how to do the test, keeping it at a constant 0° C. It's not that he didn't think some idiot couldn't last longer than 3 minutes, it's that longer than that can result in actual damage to your person. (Note your peeling skin and having to see a doctor.)

You went longer than three minutes, you also didn't mention you followed the procedure, so he had to expand the directions and tell you how you failed to follow the procedure. The water was colder when you began than when you finished. The ambient room temperature melts the ice and warms the water, you didn't keep it at 0°, if you even had the correct ratio of ice to begin with. Two of three cubes in water is "ice water", he specifically said to reach the desired effect you needed a 50/50 ratio. And more ice will melt after 30 minutes than 3, so you have to add ice to keep the ratio constant.

Instead of seeing his reply as an attack on you, which it wasn't, or replying to the thread with a comment stating how "successful" you were with your pain tolerance test because you exceeded the recommended time, the more useful comment would be to agree with the doctor and say "hey, listen to the 3 minute warning. I got frostbite doing something similar for 30 minutes and my skin peeled off. You can really do some damage if you aren't careful."

Bravo CuriouslyIntereste,

your response was exactly right, sadly there are always those around for whom SS&C means nothing and who don't listen to others or understand.

Also, what part of, "Anyone attempting to exceed 3 minutes to prove a point could easily lose fingers or whatever appendage they are using to test," do these idiots not understand? I doubt that's an "appendage" that you want to lose!
And by lose, we don't mean "it falls off" by the way. We mean, "it gets cut off because that's what happens when you're stupid enough to intentionally subject any portion of your body to hypothermia".

Very true,

but at least if he does lose that appendage he'll be leaving the kink lifestyle and so not putting any others at risk because of his idiocy and cavalier attitude, lol.

True. But he'll also lose the bit he apparently thinks with. That can't be good for him. ;)

but I'm sure he'll get the recognition he needs from the darwin awards, after all losing that appendage in particular could really benefit the human race :D
