Wax play/flogging/spanking safety tips

Hi I just wanted to know how to safety engage in wax play, flogging and spanking, aftercare needed and anything else I might need to know?
For flogging is it safe to use a cat i'm nine tails, riding crop, a whip? I don't know much about wax play, I know that spanking is a sensual thing, but a form of discipline as well.
The main reason I joined the website is because it is educational, and I would like to make friends.

Wax play has been covered off in your other thread already.
As for the others they as group are called impact play, for the most part not really suitable for solo use although some do use crops or canes etc on themselves it is really hard to hit yourself effectively.
In general all safe unless done to excess or extreme, one BIG tip is never let anyone hit you with anything for the first time when you are tied up. Get to know the feel of each first and make sure your limits are understood and safeword agreed on.
