Web Cam Advice

Not sure if this is the right place, need some advice.

If I want to use a webcam, without skype what are the alternatives. I want something where I can choose who watches, so it is not available for general public.

Most of the IM protocols support webcams, including MSN, Yahoo, AIM, etc. Google+ huddles are an option if you want a controlled one-to-many environment, as is tinychat.
