This might sound kind of stupid... but..

I have asked a couple of questions on here and received some really good advise... and as I was reading I was thinking that what might really break the ice would be some sort of beginners book with some ideas laid out. I just think that maybe having something in print might be easier to talk over than to actually pull things out of the air...

My questions pertained to spanking and being tied up... so along a light dominance/submissive for beginners... or am I asking for too much?

This isn't a book but I have read so many of the articles on here and some are very good. Even if it isn't exactly what you want it is a good read. The site is a bit complicated to get around so spend some time browsing :)

There is even a book list which can be bought at Amazon so nosey neighbors won't even know :D

Honestly, if you want to look into some sort of book, I would suggest looking into the Gorean (or Gor) lifestyle books. It is basically the original roots of any BDSM idea.

Here's a link to get you started. If you'd like more information, let me know.

I don't have a specific book, but I would suggest looking around online. Type the key words you are interested in into a search, and see what you find. Forums are a good place to get information as well.

The problem with 'the lifestyle' is that there isn't just one lifestyle. Each person and relationship requires its own understanding of what you are looking for, what you are giving, and what needs to happen for everyone to be happy and comfortable. Because of this, it is hard to find a 'how-to' guide that will cover exactly what you want it too.

For myself, I have found ti better to look around and pick and choose the elements I like, and the ways of going about them.

Sorry if I didn't make sense, and/or rambled a bit without actually answering your question.

The only problem with Gor is that it goes into a lot of rules and rituals and slave positions etc. If you want to start easy I would look around online etc.

Nothing against Gor but I personally have never gotten on with it.
