Hello everyone,
so I am a 23yo straight dude but I like going online and role-play or chat as a female sub, I don't want to lie to people so I never do anything long term but for some reason I enjoy it way too much, to be honest much more that doing that as ,well, myself. I am not transgender or even bi although I thought about it a lot. So my question is: is this so weird? Is this happening to anyone else?Is it bad that I lie to people in the process? And what is the best way to deal with it?
I would love to hear your opinion.

P.S. I am sorry if this is the wrong thread I am kinda new here.
P.S. Any help would really be appreciated.

Id say somewhere down inside you prob want more than just the roleplay but maybe Youre just not comfortable with it all yet. Maybe ask yourself why you enjoy it and see where that takes you. It might be some reason totally void of what you think.
If I had to make a quick (possibly incorrect) assumption aside from you actually wanting to be the femme part and be bi……. it’s that female subs will get more attention faster and therefore get more play easier. Guys in general are hugely outnumbering females especially online. Sub males means Youre all trying for a female dommes attention. But posing as a female sub you yield quicker results cuz the same goes for male doms. There’s a ton of horny half assers looking for some quick play. They won’t even question if you’re really female.

now is it weird? Weird is a relevant term so what one finds weird others may not. Just do what you enjoy.

is it bad you lie? Yes absolutely. You should be honest and upfront. I’ve seen plenty of roleplay posts on other sites saying directly up front that the person wants to play a gender other than what they identify as. Then at least you’re allowing that other person to make their own choice as to play with a guy or not. Secondly what if you both hit it off great and wanted to go longerterm. One day the lie has to be admitted and frankly it will probably end things there for you. Where as if you find an honest match and things go well, long term would be much easier to continue. I personally cut someone off as soon as I see they’ve lied. If they’re willing to do it once they’re willing to do it again. It also shows that they value their pleasure above all else and don’t respect me enough to be open an honest with me.

I have try to think about it and see the reason behind it but nothing arises although I haven't thought about the attention part, though it's pretty obvious. Would you mind suggesting some role playing sites like the ones you mentioned?
Also thanks for replying, I really appreciate it!

In addition to the advice from @subzzzero I'd like to add there is the very real issue of consent. Not being upfront with play partners is never ok so going on catfishing sprees is going to be a problem. Roleplay, where everyone is aware that others may not be who they say is a different category entirely. In that realm it's going to be fine to take on whatever persona feels best to you.

Check this post on consent to get a better understanding of the in's and out's of the most fundamental concept in BDSM.
