YOU MUST READ SUNSTONE!!
I might be new here but that doesn't matter. I DEMAND that all of you read my absolutely favorite comic (a BDSM story). It's an absolute work of art and i feel like it's under appreciated!
It's a realistic depiction of kinky relationships, life hardships, misunderstandings, sexual exploration, human connections and just life in general.
If you go read for the porn, you will stay for the story. If you go read for the story, you will stay for the story and porn.

(Also the artist is very much an inspiration of mine, so i need to geek out about about it. I still feel like some of you would really love it, so PLEASE GIVE IT A CHANCE!)

I absolutely agree! This is the best! Nana to Kaoru and Sunstone are my all time BDSM favorites! They could only be surpassed by sleepygimp's works if only their story had a little bit more gravitas.

I haven't seen this one so i will definitely give it a read! (i fully agree about sleepygimp's stuff) one of my personal favorites is duski loveless, i haven't read her stuff yet but I'm a big fan of her posts on X.
A lot of NSFW artists aren't as popular and easy to find as they should be.
If you have any recommendations I'd love to hear them!

I've had a first look and I like the way it communicates and the emotions. Thanks for sharing. I will definitely take a closer look.

So... i read that comic, i liked the art, i liked how real the charcters feel like. great recommendation @MercyHunter

I agree with @Dominantsub, Nana to Kaoru is the one i read almost since its release, it finished this past august tho, and there is a side history, called Nana to Kaoru black label and, looking for a nice pannel to share here, i think there are more side mangas of them.
The mian thing that could not be of your likings its that the main characters are pre-college students.
If you are not used to manga, it could be a shock, but in orther to set the basis ill explain a littl ebit of the manga culture:

Japaneese people treassure youngth like one of themost precious ages, from school clubs to friendship, first love and such things that happens during those years where u are not a kid but neither an adult.
Once they got into the adult world.. things change drastically (you can do a little ressearch) and so... the schoool time its one of the most common topics regarding manga and anime.

Another thing to point about japanese culture is this called "Tatemae and Honne"
Where tatemae reffers to the public side of yourself, a facade to fit into society. I whould say its the fake personality people use to show to... coworkers , bosses and strangers.
Honne, on the other hand, is their truself, their true oppiion about things and its almost never shared only and rarelly to the closest to you.

In mangas ull see extroverted protagonists with fancy hairstyles, that dont fear being themselves... That is honne in action, expressed via art. IRL they hide are introverted cause if they talk you about their thoughts or problems its considered a rude action, like... sharing your crap with others is not well seen there, your a nuissance.

There are many more cultural problems that are reflected in manga and anime, but i just wanted to make clear that its not a perverted thing (althoug it is) having barele legal protagonists

Oh forgot to mention that... the age for consent was 13 for aloooooooong long time, now its 16, i think. So this adds another layer in order to understand manga and anime (specially hentai)

Ill post an image, that should not break forums rules, since its all over the interet. But it does... please let me know and ill edit.

one last thing, it has 156 chapters and ull have to withstand some manga cliches like struggling with communication (another japanese "issue"), stupid missinderstandings, a little harem and such...

Pretty much the reason as to why i never read it. There is very few stories with this "plot point" that don't fully weird me out. So even tho I've read some, it's not something i agree with.

I've read my fair share of mangas, hentais and everything in-between. Japanese culture has been a big part of my life since childhood (tho not so much anymore). So i do have a lot of respect for most of it, however I'm a firm beliver that some "culture" should not be respected (that includes parts of my own).
So this:

Is considered very normal to me, untill we combine it with this:

Japan has a serious porn addiction problem, and a "Don't say anything. What will people think of you?" problem.
That, sadly contributes to the SA and pedophilia epidemic they have there.

As much as they "cherish" those years in a life, those "school girls" constantly get assaulted by adult's.

Sure "it's just art", but art impacts people's perceptions of what's normal and what isn't. And when schoolgirl hentai, with charecters obviously depicted as teenagers or children, is plastered everywhere. It becomes a real life problem for real people.
Same thing goes for loli content.

My moral compass is considered "too strong" by quiet a lot of people. But i don't want to support an ideology of that sort in any way. Same goes for "school"/ "teacher student" porn, tho it is a bit different (because the people are obviously adults, unlike most of the drawings).
I think it's harmful in a terrifying way.

Everyone can watch and read whatever they want. But "explaining" why pedophilia is "normal" in Japan seems quite idiotic. And yes, it is indeed very much perverted for most of the people who read it (keyword is "most"). They find is arousing that the charecters are "innocent" "illegal" or "barely legal".
