With the new format comes the first of many long awaited changes to be implemented. You can now become a verified member, staff can now check your proof and add the "Verified" status to your title that appears under your user name.
Open to anyone, male female, trans, CD or any other flavour just let us know how you identify. ***UPDATED Also open to Dom(mes) as well as subs***
To keep this simple you will need to provide at least one, clear, new photo of yourself (face can be excluded) with a hand written sign that has the following. The title must say "Verifying" then under that your Kink Talk user name and the date. In the photo you can be nude, in underwear or clothed as long as your sex is verifiable. If staff have any doubts they may ask for additional proof at their discretion.
If you are not the shy type you can post this in the verification media section (just be sure to let a mod know you have done this), if you want to be verified but not publicly displayed then send the photo in a pm to an ACTIVE staff member (most often me), yes you can now include pictures in pm's, bonus!!!

As added incentive and for a short time only I am offering early verifiers the chance to add a custom tag to their verified status, things such as "Verified Kinky" or "Verified Slut", etc rather than just "Verified female/male/CD,etc" The tag must be reasonable or it will be rejected.

Oh and one word of warning, anyone trying to scam us with photoshopped verification pics could earn themselves the title of 'Suspected fake" or "Catfish" so only use your own, freshly taken photos.

Currently nothing in the pipeline. This is totally optional and really here for anyone who perhaps has been questioned about their authenticity to put that doubt to rest. If this is something that doesn't bother you then by all means just carry on as you are.
I must say though, given how many times this has been requested I expected more of a response. So far I have verified 3 people...

I think verification is a good thing as you can do it anomalously, not showing your face, so there is really no reason not to do it when you life permits time to. I'd much rather play with someone who I can be pretty sure are what they say they are.

I think it would take a long time to get everyone verified as people tend to come and go for different periods on here and it is still a choice if you want to be verified or not but I think the more people that do the better the site will become.

I have sent in my verification photo tonight pretty much as soon as I saw the posting about it and I did it help show others I'm who/what I say I am. There are a lot of people out there on the web that are not what they say they are for one reason or another and if people on here are to be trusting of other members then verification can help bring that trust. I did it to help others have the confidence that I am what I say I am.

Ok, we all hide behind our id names but that is different, that is for anonymity from the wider world and not the same as claiming to be a 6ft red haired, large breasted, femdom when in reality your a inwardly suppressed gay guy looking to get some action with another guy and think you'll improve your chances by presenting as a female.

It is also good you can be verified according to how you identify yourself, After all we all know there are more sexes than just male and female.

I like many others wonder when contacted by someone if they are who they say they are, especially if they claim to be female. Personally I have no problem playing with girls, guys, tv, trans, or whatever but I'd like them to be honest about who they are.

I agree and in fact the lack of response kind of confirms this, but it is there for those that want to take advantage of it.
Perhaps it will eventually lead to ads containing "will only play with verified members" or something similar?

Wow, well Phreaky Phebruary was a total bust, not one new verification added through this incentive! Time for a rethink...
