A couple of recent posts by member @Thygh used queries on the ChatGPT system to generate some information on D/s relationships and BDSM aftercare.
But what is ChatGPT and is this information credible?
First of all ChatGPT is an AI based chatbot that uses sophisticated and very advanced learning algorithms to build responses to the questions you ask of it. In some spheres this can be very helpful and very accurate as it can collect and build information from many sources leading to a very good response. However it does have many limitations and in more esoteric areas it's responses can be less helpful.
As with all information gleaned from the internet always exercise caution and cross check information across multiple sites and platforms to get a balanced view. The ChatGPT system can only build up it's knowledge base on what is visible to it, previous inquiries and from the supervised revision by humans of it's responses.
As noted on the ChatGPT website one major issue is that it can often build responses that sound very plausible but which are in fact simply nonsense.
"ChatGPT sometimes writes plausible-sounding but incorrect or nonsensical answers. Fixing this issue is challenging, as: (1) during RL training, there’s currently no source of truth; (2) training the model to be more cautious causes it to decline questions that it can answer correctly; and (3) supervised training misleads the model because the ideal answer depends on what the model knows, rather than what the human demonstrator knows."
So while this can be a useful tool be extra vigilant with material dealing with kink/BDSM as you may not be getting the whole picture.
